For waste carriers

Waste transfer notes for carrier teams.

Give drivers and office staff a consistent way to record the handover: what is moving, who is involved, where it is going and the confirmations attached to the note.

The carrier’s part

Useful information should travel with the load.

BEFORE COLLECTION

Check the description

Agree a clear account of the waste with the transferor. Check that the description and code fit the material and that the intended destination is authorised to receive it.

AT HANDOVER

Record people and movement

Include the applicable carrier, driver, vehicle, collection and destination details. Complete the parties’ relevant confirmations and signatures.

AFTER THE TRANSFER

Share and retrieve the evidence

Send the completed PDF to configured recipients. Team and higher plans include searchable archive access and PDF retrieval for office follow-up.

A browser-based workflow

Keep driver and office records together.

DWTN’s online WTN form captures transfer details and signatures, then generates a PDF for sharing. Teams can manage their people and depots according to plan permissions.

The interface adapts to phone, tablet and desktop screens. Drivers can create and complete WTNs without mobile reception or Wi-Fi; drafts and signatures stay on the same device and browser until synchronisation. DWTN automatically tries to sync queued notes when a connection returns and the page is open. Check the status for server acceptance. Read how to use offline WTNs.

Carrier responsibilities stay with the carrier

Digital paperwork does not verify every classification or replace duty-of-care checks. Use the appropriate document for the movement; hazardous waste may require a consignment note rather than a standard WTN.

Digital Waste Tracking

Do not confuse a WTN with a receipt report.

Digital Waste Tracking is being introduced in phases. Receipt-reporting duties focus on eligible permitted or licensed receiving operations. Scope, timing and required data vary by jurisdiction and site. A carrier’s WTN record is not automatically a report to the government service.

DWTN has an integration for applicable receipt reporting, subject to eligibility, setup and current configuration. Confirm the exact reporting duty for the waste movement, location and role before relying on software.
